At a meeting of sawmillers yesterday,a resolution was pas3ed that it is desirable to approach the Minister of Public Works with a view of inducing him to encourage local industry by using totara timber only for renewing bridges and culverts on the railway lines instead of importing Australian timber for that purpose.
