DISTRICT COURT.
MASTERTON-TIIURSDAY. (Before His Honor District Judge Robinson.) Oaksweilv Giordan. Mr Pownall, who appeared for Carswell in this case, applied for the amount of commission to bo allowed defendint for his services in the management of the rabbit skinning contract, to be determined by the Court. The evidence of T. Catswell, father of the plaintiff, was taken, to the effect that ten per cent of the' proceeds of the venture would be a sufficient consideration. The Court found the proceeds of the contract to be £BSB 15s, From this £287 5s 7d had to he deducted on account of wages and other expenses paid by Riordan, leaving £l2l 14s 5d to bo divided botween the parties. Tho share of the plaintiff, £GO 17s 2d, was subject to a further deduction, leaving a balance of £4717s 2d, for which judgmont was given against the defendant, with £BO 7s costs.
