Mr Beard for plaintiff. George Watson, sworn, stated that the account had been sent in and was fair and reasonable. Defendant said the goods were not purchased for him, but for ono Kite, who had taken over the business and who had been billed for tho amount. Plaintiff, examined by Mr Beard, stated that he did not recognise Kite in the matter, Tho goods had been ordered by Blinkhorno, and he looked to him for paymont, Tho defendant stated that the goods had been ordered for the firm of Kite and Blinkhorno, Kite had subsequently taken over the account, and ho (witness) had settled his own account with Watson, Mr Beard contended that each member of the partnership firm was responsible for the amount.

Judgment was given for theamouul claimed, with costs.
