The sales continue to bo well supported both in number of entries and the competition of buyers, The sheep at this stile were hardly'up to the iivcragQ in quality ot the last; but all met with fuirly good competition and realised very satisfactory prices. The oattle 150 head wero fail' to good in quality and very quiet; prices showing a still further improvement in values, In sheep, fat wethers brought from lis fid to 12s; fat ewes 8s 6d to 10s; store wethers 10a to lis; fat forward breeding ewos 7a to 8s 6(1; culls 4s to 5s 3d. Fat steers 82s 6d to 995, averaging about 14s per 100 lbs; fat cows and heifers £2 6a to 82s; averago I2d 6tl per 100 lb; 8 year old steers 09s 6d; 2 year olds 36s to 425; yearlings, 80s; calves 10a 6d, to 20s; 2 and 3 year old heifers 35s to 37s 6d, Horses dull, fow coming forward.
The tollowing is Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Go's Johsonvillc stock report Cattle camo forward in full numbers. The majority of the bullocks were aged and weighty and much abovo the average generally yarded, The demand was irregular but on the whole results wero much on a par with last market. Bheep were well represented, among them some large and prime wethers, but averago renults were invariably reduced by tho reprehensible practice often indulged in by consignees in forwarding among good ahtep many eutively unfit for tho butcher. Lambs of variable quality were well competed for. A full muster -of pigs met with a poor market, a downward tendency being mora noticeable than ever.
