Fatal Accident.

Invercabgill, October 28.

A shocking accident occurred this afternoon on the New Zealand Pint! Company's bush tramway at Wood end. A small locomotive was running slowly up the incline on the straight road, when it left the rails and capsized. Of four men who were on, three escaped with slight injuries, but the driver, James Ladbrouk, was killed on the spot. He fell against a log, and the starting bar of the engine struck him on the mouth, penetrating tho head so far as almost to sever it from the body. The deceased leaves a wife and three children. No cause has been discovered for tho locomotive leaving the rails, which are of iron.
