MURDER CASE.
Weli imjton, Tuesday, The Ouoahu murder case began in the Supreme Court today. Mr (htterill, for the prosecution, detailed the oircumstanceß of the crime, which were very simple. Waatara Wi, ihe prisoner, first shot at Turanga with a bulldog revolver, hitting him in lilt back below the right shoulder. He tried to get to his horse through the fence, when deceased run away, and liolinallyroikilterliini through a gap lower down. He dismounted anil chased Turanga and fired again, the bullet entering above the left hip. This shot eventually proved fatal. The crime was witnessed by a number of natives, including two women, who, more courageous than the others, ran up and assisted Turangain the struggle. . • The first witness of importance examined in the murder case was L)r Menzies, surgeon, superinlendaht cf Napier Hospital.
