FOREIGN. Paws, August 24, The New Zealand Government have been awarded a gold medal for their exhibit of timber at the Exhibition. The exhibits of Mr H. E. Liardet, furrier, Wellington, have received honorable mention, Tlio Superior Jury have had under consideration tlio mineral awards made in July, and rejected the following: Silyor Phanix Antimony Mining (loflipiy, bronze medal, Messrs Firth and Clark, Auckland; Honorable mention, Reuben Par and United Mines, The jury have added to tlio previous lists of awards, silver medal to tlio Endeavor Inlet Antimony Company. To the Saxon Quartz Mining Company, Thames, and Fiery Cross Mining Company, Inangalraa, they have awarded certificates of honorable montion instead of bronze medals.
Australian. Sydney, August 2G. Tho Centennial was insured for £OSOO in tho Pacific Company, The cargo was mostly uninsured.
