The House of Representatives reassembled at 7.30 yestorday evening and tho Premier moved that the House go into Committee on the Representation Bill.
, Mr Moss jirge'd .the Premier not to go on with the committal of the Biil for a few days, fie asked : \fas it tho intention of the Premier to forco the Bill through 1 The Premier said it would not bo unduly pressed if Mr Moss and his friends refrained from obstructing it, Mr Moss denounced the Bill as immoral and unfair. ■ ■ •
Mr Izard compjained that tho Bill was beinc; forced through an unfair manner without giving people time to consider it,

: The Premior said the Government bad carefully considered this matter, and had come to the conclusion that they were not prepared to carry any Bill giving eithdr more or less than 25 per cent, He hoped that declaration
would he recognised as fair by both aides, Evidently it was a matter for .cbnipromise Ho thought that going back to the status of thn Act of 1881
it was perfectly fair. Hon members miiFt remember that the 18 per cent of the Act of 1887 was put in under very peculiar ciicumstanees, He hoped.members would now allow tho Bill to go. into committee, where the thing could be fought out, and he hud uo doubt 25 per cent would be iusertcd. At any. rote, the Government were not prepared to go on with the Bill if either more or less limn 25 per cent was inserted. (Hear, hear.)
