FOOTBALL.
On Saturday afternoon there was a fair mustor on thu Mastorton Club ground, but a large number of the principal players were engaged in the cricket match on the oval. The ground was put in order, and a general kickiug practice indulged in. On the Star ground there was an excellent mußler, and a good practice was indulged in, Sides wero picked, and about an hour's play ended in a drawn game, each side scoring a try. On Saturday next the fifteen of the Stars will play thi Greytown Fire Brigade team, on tho former's ground. ■ On Wednesday evening next a meeting will be held for tho purpoßO of forming a Boy's Club in Masiertou,
