-LonDok, Fobruary 11. A panic has been caused among the Australians residing in Great Britain owing to five hundred of them having been summoned by the Income Commissioners for the tax ou income. It-is reported that the authorities engaged the services of a spy for the purpose of gaiuing; information as to the financial position of the Australians. It is asserted that Mr O'Brien is in a precarious state of health, but Mr Balfour, Secretary for Ireland, ridicules the idea.
A meeting was held in Hyde Park to protest against the imprisonment of Mr O'Brien, but the proceedings, were interrupted by a snowstorm.
