In response to a request from tho Wairnrapa Eugby Football Union, His Worship the Mayor has proclaimed Monday next a public holiday from 2 p.m. A notification to the effect appears in another column. Tim Complimentary Ball committee to the English Footballers are requested to meet at the Club Hotel, Masterton, to-morrow ovening (Friday) at 7.30 sharp. Mr S. H. Wiokerson, Secretary to thojWairarapa Eugby Football Union has obtained the signatures of the business people of Masterton to a requisition agreeing to close their establishments on Monday next at 2 p.m. to euabln their employees to witness the football match England v Wairarapa, The Mayor of Greytown proolaiins a half holiday on Monday next on the occasion of the football match England and Wairarapa,
