Prom certain settlers at Waihakeke asking that the Para road be opened to' connect with the Wailiakeke road, and Messrs Maunsell ,tmd Oadwallader offered to give the land for the said road,: on conditions that the Board fence the same.

Mr Braithwaite moved, and Mr Stevens seconded, that the offer be accepted. -Carried. \ ■ E. Goodwin was granted permission to go through the Board's gravel pit to enable him to get available gravel

from his own land. It. J. Kelts was allowod to, transfer his section to A. Moody, and a letter from G. Simpson was allowed to lay on the table. It was resolved that notice be sent

to the natives to keep their cattle off the Gladstone Wainuioru road, A letter was read trom Mr C, R. Cartor re the exchange of roads as promised some considerable time back. After a good deal of discussion the Board instructed the Clerk So write to Mr Carter, asking if he was willing to

take compensation in lion thereof, as may be mutually agreed upon. Sundry accounts were passed for payment, aud the meeting adjourned, ;
