,• The' Mowing sentences were inflicted at the Supremo Court this morning Mary Miller, larceny, six months: Eobert Whiteoliurck, breaking and entering, twelve months, Edward Etton, ditto, two years; Leonard Tyler pleaded guilty on two charges of breaking and entering, was landed for sentence. Judge EichlwJ'nd has decided that the Official Assignee must admit the City Advance Company's claim to prove for £IOOO in Waters estate.

At the Supremo Court to day Annie Currie, for larceny, was sentenced to two years; Peter Williamson for forging and stealing bank notes, three years; G, Thompson, charged with stealing from an hotel at Kaitangata, was found Not Guilty and discharged, Christchukcii, October 4.
Ihe following sentences were passed this morning Charles Bitson, for larceny, three years penal servitude; John Fisher, burglary, 15 months hard labor; W. B. Storey, two years' hard labor: Frederick Cooper, for cattle stealing, three years penal servitude ; Gordon McEwen, larceny, six months' probation.
