Blenheim, October 3.
The;Picton School Committee have selected, out of 35applications, Mr O; C, Howard, formerly head of the Training College of Wellington, and Miss Hay, as master and mistress of the Picton School. The Education Board confirmed the recommendations today. A-t a meeting of the Awalere Rabbit Board, the Chairman read a letter from Mr Beaumont, a r.unholder, who has mado various experiments in getting rid of the rabbit post on his property. It stated that be spent over £II,OOO in six years, and had been so successful that it now . cost him £SO per annum.
