CUSTOMS RETURNS.
The Customs revenue for the colony for the month of September amounted to £106,866, as againt £121,109 for August, aud £114,222 for September, 1886. The contributions for last month of the four chief ports are : Auckland £19,606, Wellington £217.56,: Lyttelton and Christchurch £18,527;: Duuedin 25,787. The total Customs; revenue for the six-months ended on Friday is £622,547, as against £647,619 for the corresponding period of 1886, or a falling off of £25,000.
