[Opinions of tlic Mu Hodo is not a desirable typo of representative, or likely to provo of much real use if ho' should got into Parliament Evening Post, August 31.-' Mr Hawkins' has no chance of success, and liis retirement iti favor of Mr Beetliam, would bo the most practical proof ho could give of the sincerity of the political.faith he possess,—• Evening Post, August 81.

Wo loarn that Mrßeetham'schancosloFtho Mastorton electorate are improving daily. We congratulate the electors of that district upon the fact,- Mr Beetham being a gentleman of whom any constituency might bo proud, His only is a gentlemen of " Wonderful mediocrity" who seems to imagino that the lack of all that Wpuld make a geod representative is atoned for by supporting the Governmoiit.— Hawkes Bay Herald.
