The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Board was licit! this moroing (Thursday.) Present—Messrs J. W. A, Marchant (Chief Commissioner), H. Bunny, G, Beetham, W. W. McCardlo, A. Reese, and W. A. Fitzherburfc, The schedule showed, that since last mealing 2728 a Or Up had been sold and Icasod at an upset prico of £229 9s. The following tenders were received for land sold under the perpetual lease system Sections 13, 23 and 24, Block VI, Maugaone, A. Anderson at Is 2d per aero j section 48, Block XVlil, H. J, Rathbone at is 9d per aero. J. B. Rose also applied at 4s !)d per aero. Section 88, Block XVIc, Mangahao, H. M, Rathbone at 3s 9d per acre, J, B, Rose's tender at 2s 6d was refused. Section., 66, Block XVIII, Mangahao, S. V. Rodney at Is Id; section 67, Blo:k XVHI. Maugahao, J. Dungan at 2s 7d. Mr J. Henley's application to- transfer seclion IU, Block IV, Mangahao, to Mr IT, 11. Hughes was granted. Applications to capitalise were granted as follows: —1). Dunbar, section 59, Block XIII, Pohangina; A. Dunbar, section 37, Block JX, Pohangina, and J. E, Price, section 308, Block- 111, Orotia, The application of Mr F, MeAnnlty to obtain a title for section 251 j Block XV, Kairanga, wa3 also granted. Mr T. M. Frampton also applied to pay off the balance on seclion 23, Block IX, Pohangina, and obtain a title. After consideration the application was granted, An application was received from Mr D, G, Poison for permission to reside on land in his own possession within 10 miles of his small run part 1 of section 21, Block IX, Mangawhero, which was granted. A similar application from Mr W. L. Whiteman was granted, the applicant to be given six months to erect a residence on his land, In regard to the petition of the selector of section 25 Block XL, Mangaone, for a reduction of the price of the section as he could not meet his payments, it was resolved to allow him to capitalise if he wished. The application of Mr J. 6. Cox for permission to include part of Crown lands adjoining his property, Pakowai, within a fence he is erecting so as to obtain a better fencing line, was granted ou (lis condition that the fence was to be removed on three months's notice, no compensation being allowed. It was resolved to recommend the Government to issue tbe tides to Messrs Fabian Bro?., for their sections, Kopuaranga. The proposals of the Manawatn Road Board for the expenditure of deferred payment thirds in their district were approved of. The Alfred ton Road Board also forwarded proposals fortheexpenditure otdeferred payment and perpetual lease thirds in their district, The Secretary was instructed to inform the Board that the consent of the owners of 26 and 57. Block XI., was co be obtained, and if such were done the proposals were approved of. The Board decided to cancel the interest ot the selector of section 29, Block 111, Mangaone, on account of his having failed to execute the lease/ It was also resolved to reoffer the land at the next sale. The Board approved of tho scheme of sections in the Ofcaniakapea Block as submitted by the Commissioner, Mr 11, J. Christensen applied for 100 or 150 acres of unsurveyed Crown Land in Block IV., Mikimiki, on the porpetual lease system. It was resolved the applicant bo called upon to deposit Is per acre prior to tho survey being made, The meeting then adjourned,—Press,
