FASHIONABLE WEDDING.
. This afternoon Ihoro waG celebrated I a most interesting ceremony in tbo family of Mr J. E, Nathan, merchant of this city, whose second daughter •Jane, -was given in .marriage to Maurice, son of Mr F. Goheu, of Cbriitchurcb. The bridegroom, at present reside;)' in Palmorstou North, is also well-known in Wellington (particularly in musical circlos) as wullasin Christchurch. The ceroniony took place 'in the ballroom of Mr J. E. Nathan's residence, Hawkostonostreet, which was most prettily arranged for the occasion. Evorgreens were used with very nice effect, a charming bower in the.centre of the apartment completing a tasteful picture. The wedding service was conducted by the Rabbi, the Bev.H, Van Stavesen, The bride (whose parents were both present) was supported by six bridesmaids —Misses Nathan (2, sisters of the bride), Misses Caselberg (2, cousins of the bride), and Misses Rose (2, daughters of Mr Rose, of this city. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Lewis Cohen. Mrs S. Cohen was among those present. The bride was most becomingly attired in a cream satin, pearl-panollcd dress, with long plain train, The cuffs and collar were chastely embroidered with pearls. An embroidered tulle veil, with the customory floral accompaniments completed tbo costume, The bridsmaides looked very pretty in cream colored plush and serge. Tho bride and hor fair attendants oarried bouquots of appropriate tints, which added to tho beauty of their attire. Mrs J. E. Nathan, mother of the bride, wore an elegant toa gown of dark red with pink vest. Mrs S. Cohen (the bridegroom's mother) wore a terra cotfca silk, trimmed with stamped plush, cap to correspond. . Mrs David Nathan was dressed in fawn-colored silk with trimmings of navy bluo velvet, : croam vest. Mrs Gasolborg of Mastorton, aunt of the bride, wore a golden brown satin trimmed with plush. The Hcono at the solemnisation of the evont, with the exquisite costumes and (lowers contrasting with the [ evergreens, was most attractive, The bride has beon tho recipient of over a hundred presents from her relativos and numerous friends, many of them being of great value and some of the articles of ornament and useful | design. The happy couple wore to leave this afternoon on a short honeymoon, prior to settling down in Palmergton North—Press,
