Carter,, and A; Norton, asking tbo Board to make a ditch under the road,,and put in' culverts on the southern end of the Mangaone Valley Road. Mr John McDona!d~sent in his resignation as-a member of the Board. His resignation was accepted. It was resolved that all monies derived from sections south of Norton's creek be spent on th« Mangaone Valley Road south of that place. That the County be allowedto take gravel from the Central Mangaone road. The consideration of Mr Anderson's motion re. the taking over from the County of the Alfredton road was postponed for a month. Mr McDonald waited on the Board requesting them to make a ditch alongside his section out of the deferred thirds accruing to his section. It was decided to allow L 3 to be. spent on this work. The Inspector of the Hswera road' reported that the repairs on that'road were completed except the approach to the ford, for ffhich the clerk was instructed I to call for tenders. The tender of Mr J. Bell to execute the contract tor bridges and culverts on the Mangaone road for 172 wns accepted. The Inspector of the : Government works on the Mangaone road reported that an additional 38 chains had been" completed, and a voucher, for a progress payment on. that quantity, was signed, to/be forwarded to .the Government, The Ch'ief Surveyor was recommended to accede to'the'requestof the contrac-. torforin .extension of.time ono month. 'lt; was decided. to;. delay calling lor fenders for metalling on the Alfredton road until the slipslato removed. ~The Chairman was Authorised to sign the agreement of settlement' 'of accounts between tho Eketabuna and Alfredton Upad Boards. ; The Treasurer reported' a credit balance of ;1295 15s IOJd. •Accounts amonnting. to 18118s 5d were passed forpayment'ftndthe meeting adjourned. ■..•■ ■:■■-■••
