Cr Phillips asked if this CounciJ would contribute 120 a year towards the Greytown Matarawa bridge. Or Phillips gave notice to move at the nest meeting that this County aid the settlers in the matter of the bridge at Matarawa........

Tho report of the Work* Conimittto was read and confirmed. •

It was resolved that the' consideration of the rating area be referred to the Works Committee.

The Engineer's report was read, which set forth that Mr Dawson had J not completed his contract, and that the last contract taken was not' com* menced, no materials being on the ground, but the Engineer informed the Council that the contractor had sufficient time to complete the work in the specified time providing- he commenced at once. It was resolved that tho Engineer be authorise^to-.'requesi' Mr Dawson to go on without delay. The following were appointed members of the United District, 'Board ;-* Ora W.
