CAfrAiN Donald and the members of the Masterton Volunteer Corps may fairly be cougratulated upon their achievement in opening the big drill shed last evening. In the face of many obstacles and difficulties they have carried through the undertaking to which they pledged themselves, and though there were in their project certain features of which we could hardly express approval, we are quito prepared to admit that the mammoth structure whioh has arisen at their bidding is calculated to be extremejy useful to the residents of tho town generally, and that the Volunteers led by theirbold Captain have accomplished almost a miracle in constructing so large a building out of resources, which in the first instance appeared to be slenderand uncortuin.
