ARREST OF CHARLES CHEYMOL.
Charles Cheymol, formerly a wino and spirit merchant m Wellington, who was recently adjudged a bankrupt, was arrested yesterday afternoon shortly after 4 o'clock, on three charges of forging and uttering receipts for tho deposit in the Queen's bonded warehouse: (1) On the 15th January last of two cases of brandy; (2) on the 22nd January last of two cases of port; (3) On the Ist February last, of ton cases of brandy. During the evening setting of tho Resident Magistrate's Court, Mr Brown, acting for tho accused, applied to Mr Wardell for bail to bo granted, His Worsliip fixed bail at two sureties of £l5O, Messrs C. Do Launay and S. Lraa became sureties, and tho accused was liberated.-Now Zealand Times.
