Hawke was fined 33 and 7s costs for failing to register a dog, WAIPOUA PROTECTIVE.WORKB, An application by the Borough Ooun" cil for permission to remove impediments in the Waipoua River for protective works was made. Mr Bunny appeared for the Council. ■ His Worship adjourned the case until to-morrow at 10 o'clock, to allow'tho engineer to produce a report on the proposed works, and lay all necessary data bofore the Court. RATB DEFAULTER. Masterton Road Board v. A. M. Hirsch-berg-Ratesdue£93s4d. Tho Clerk, Mr R. Wilson, proved that the necessary notices had been setved on the defendant. Judgment was given for the amount claimed and £ll2s coats.
