The final practice of the Wairarapa Union's Representative was held on Saturday last, when the trial fifteen scored an easy victory over the next eighteen. The Masterton Eod Stars played two matches on their ground on Saturday, and camo off victorious in both contests. The match Rod Stan (Ist fifteen) v Melrose (Ist fifteen), waß won by two tries to one try, and the match Greytown Wanderers (Ist fifteon) v Red Scars (2nd fifteen) was was won by four tries to nil, the Wanderers playing two men short. In the latter match the Wanderers prowl themselves superior pcrimmagers, but when the ball got among the homo team backs it was a hopeless case for the visitors, aB the result of the game shows.

Tho interprovincial match Wellington v. Auckland takes place at Auckland ok Wednesday, August 11th, when the Wellington team will meet the heaviest lot' ,ot forwards ever brought together in Asckland, and will also have to face such backs as Whiteside, Warbrick, and Ryan, A good match should eventuate.
