GREXTOWN.-WEMIBDAY. (Before H. A. Stratford, R.M. Revs, Thomas Porritt and J. Ward were each fined 6s without costs for lettin? their chimneys catch fire within the borough of Greyfcown. Alfred James smith was charged, on tho information of William Polo with having nn the 12th July, instant;, unlawfully and maliciously set fire to a shed, the property; of the informant, Mr Sandilands appeared forth*proseoution and Mr Grey for the defence. : The evidence was very voluminous, a large number of witnesses being examined for the prosecution, The case occupied the Court for some hours, and resulted in the accused being discharged. , ■'.■-
