THE PRICE OF BREAD.
[To the Editor.]
Sir.—Though 1 live in Grey town I get my bread from a well-known Masterton baker, because it is of such superior quality, I pay 4d in Masterton; at the Greytown Railway Station the bread costs me (id a loaf, and I have the trouble, besides, of fetching it from there.. The Greytown bread is delivered at my own door for 3d a loaf, but I don't touch a bit of it. I have eaten-better bread even
than tho bread I get from Masterton, which, though very good, is not, I think, tho beßt than can be made, The inferior
stuff, however, baked very often in Greytown and Wellington, and other places,, cannot be compared for a moment with the excellent bread from Masterton. When 1 buy tweedß I don't buy them worth 2b a yard, but tweeds worth 7s or 88 a yard, and certainly when I buy anything to eat I should buy it of the best, quality, and would much more gladly in thiß ease than in the other- pay its full value.
