(From Reuter's Special Correspondent.) Hobart, January 28. ; Tho Federal Council resumod sitting in the Executive Counoil to-day. Mr Berry moved a motion in favor of obtaining official information as to State affairs in connection with the Islands of Raiated and Samoa, which was agreed to. The subject of Anglo-German relations thou came before the Council. A long discussion ensued, the general expression being that tho Federal Council should be kept well informed of all i.egotiatioiis proceeding, between England and France, and England and Germany, Regarding details, many differences of opinion were manifested by the members, though all admitted tho general principle. Tho dobate was adjourned until to-morrow afternoon, to which time the Council adjourned. Sydney, January 28. Tho Mariposa sailed to-day with the homeward San Francisco- mails. Sir Alexander Stuart is a passenger by her. Good rains have fallen throughout the colony*
