SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Thb ordinary monthly meeting of tho Masterton School Committee was held yesterday evening. Present: Messrs Boddington (Chairman), Lowes, Payton, Girdwood, Woodroofe, and Hogg. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The balance sheet for the year w»s read and adopted, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr Paytou.^v Mr Boddington Ms Woodroofe seconded, fchatHhe .'action of the sub-committee in accepting a tender for cleaning tho school be confirmed. Carried.
Mr Lowes moved, and Mr Payton seconded, that the circulars regarding th« Government Savings Bank be handed to Mr Grundy, with a request that th» teachers of each class be asked to explain their nature to the scholars. Carried. .1 The Secretary was requested to Mr the attention of the Education Board to the absurdity of advertising pupil-teacher-ships only in Wellington. The meeting then closed.
