MASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting was held on Saturday. Present Messrs Bcctham (Chairman) Welch, and Gundersen. The minutes of the previous meeting weie read ank confirmed.

Correspondence was received From Messrs Beard and Gray, re coit veyance of land at To White,

From Mr T. E, ; Tatham, asking that the road in. front of the Eparaima Pah might be repairad.

From Mr L. Johnstone, asking that the road in front of his section Kopuaranga, might be repaired. From the Colonial Treasurer, advising payment of rent of the Sheep Office, From, same advising payment of subsidy of £2oßlßs 6d.

Prom Mr Marchant, re formation of road from Dreyer's Rock. From Mr 0. E, Bremner, on the same subject, with estimate of cost of the work.

The following resolutions were passed. That the Clerk be instructed to send copies of Messrs Marchant andßremner's letters to Mr A. de B. Brandon.

That the Clerk reply to Mr Tatham, stating that, No. 5 Ward being overdrawn, his request cannot be acceaded to. That the' Overseer be instructed to propare plans and specifications <tnd call tenders to the amount of £IOO for work on the South Mauriceville road, the money to come out of the amount due to the Board by the Government for lands sold on deferred payment. That the Overseer be instructed to lay off what he may consider the best line of road from the Upper Opaki to the Mauiceville road at the Camp. The Clerk was instrusted to reply to Mr L. Johnstone and inform him what had been done in the case of the'road from Dreyer's Rock, Mr J. Drummond attended and asked for liberty to remove a fence and erect a gate on Livingstone's lino'of road so that his stock might get water.—Granted. Payments tp the amount of £ll6 lis lid were passed for payment,
