SUDDEN DEATH.

Mr Alfred John Richardson who had been for some time employed as accountant in the stores of Mr J. Graham, Queeristreet, and formerly by Messrs Rapp and Hare, died somewhat suddenly yesterday evening. Mr 'Richardson had been in indifferent health for some. time past, suffering from a chest complaint, but there was no apparent cause to anticipate any serious consequences. After having tea last night, Mr Richardson took a walk out, and having gone a short distance past the residence of his employer, he was seized with a violent fit of coughing. He returned to his house, and as the "coughing did not cease and ho was spitting blood, Dr Hosking was sent, for. It was found that the deceased had broken a large blood-vessel, and that tliere was no hope of stopping the flow of blood. Death supervened about half an hour after the attack commenced. The deceased was about 35 years of age, and a native of Ireland, He had, however, spent a considerable portion of his life in Scotland, rlewasthenephowof Mr R, D. Dagg, of the Upper Plain, was married, and leaves a widow and one child. Mr Graham 3peaka in the highest terms of the deceased, whom he found an excellent accountant, and a most trustworthy and faithful servant, Mr Richardson having heen under medical treatment, it is not likely that there will bo an inquest, Tho time for the funeral had not been arranged at the time we went to press,
