Considerable interest is taken in the matter of the human hand picked up on Sumnor bencb last Wednesday through a ring ,upon it, having been identified as thstof Howard, who was drowneij on October 10th. The Life Insurance Oonj.panies interested .have not paid tho amount of the policies to the widow. Howard was insured for between £2OOO and £3OOO in various offices, including the Government. A large number of medical men have seen the hand, in order to give an opinion as to time that has elapsed since death. An inquest is to be held this afternoon.
