MASTERTON—MONDAY. (Before H. A. Sthatford, R.M,) ( Continued.) THREATENING LANGUAGE. Defendant was put in the witness box and stated the plantiff had given him notice to leave his premises. Defendant disputed his right to the ground, and stated that it ivas Government land, He would swear that ho had not made use of the words in the indictment. He only said he would not strike such objects. Cross examined by Mr Bunny; He could swear that he had no jlWeeljng against Horqbin ; l}e qoqlt] agree wjth him for a thousand years and live in peace with him forever. He told Horobin that it was his place to put him out, He was not an excitable man himself, not the least bit, Ho did not threaten to knockHorobin's oyes out, how could he do that, seeing the man had only one. Defendant was bound over to keep the peace, himself in £2O, and one surety in £2O for the space of six months, also to pay plaintiff's expenses, 15s, court costs 10s, and professional fee 21s,
