A dastardly outrage is reported from Blenheim on Saturday night, A halfpound flask of powder was found in the clapper of tho bellows, at Nicholas' blacksmiths forgo. The flask was full, and holes were cut in it in such a way that the flames from the forge must have reached the powder. The flask was discovered on Nicholas going to light the five.

We understand that Messrs Dreyer and Jagerhorn have been appointed valuers for the Masterton and Alfredton Ridings of the Wairarapa East County, and Mr McHutchon for the ridings of Castlepoint and Wainuiuru. ■ An inquest was held at Featherston yesterday on the body of P.
