LIBRARY COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of the Masterton Library Committee was held last night. Present—Messrs J. J, |erry, Masqq, and Ileese (lii the chair), The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The Treasurer reported a credit balance at the Bank of £ls 6s 3d; rents due, £35 5s fid; rates returnable, £sl3s 9d; total, £56 5s 6d.

The Secretary suggested tlio advisableness of having a standing advertisement placed in the two Masterton papers, sotting forth the advantages offered to the public by the institution.
