Lord Randolph Churchill and the Marquis of Salisbury have held a conference with regard to the points of divergence between them, with the result that their differences have been removed.
Sir Stafford Northcote has been offered, and has accepted a seat in the House of Lords. Mr Gladstone has been offered an earldom, but has declined the offer. Sydney, June 18.
