The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 17th instant.—
Wool,—The sales closed firmly on 17th instant, at the level of the last sales except for scoured, Superior combing washed, superior greasy medium, and inferior greasy and coarse crossbred have advanced|d told per lb. The sales comprised about 310,000 bales... 21,000; bales have been held over for future disposal, 140,000 bales have been taken for export.
Wheat.—Market flat. Adelaide is worth 37s per 496 lbs; New Zealand ditto, 325; Tuscan is worth 36s per 496 lbs j Adelaide f.a.q. is worth ci.f. to arrive, 33s 6d per 4801bs.
Tallow.—Market flat. Mutton is worth 35s 6d to cwt; beef ditto, 355.
■Leather.—Market firm. Best sides are worth 11 Jd per lb. New Zealand Hemp.—Market quiet Fine is worth L 25 per ton: common ditto, Ll7.
Frozen Meat. Market quiet, Mutton weighing, 'per carcase, 70 to 751bs is worth 5d per lb.
