A meeting was held this evening for the purpose. of arranging a second match between Beach and but without result, as Beach had already made arrangements to row a match with Clifford for the championship of the world. The meeting was postponed for a week in order to get Clifford's sanction to cancel the match between himself and Beach, and to enable the latter to make further arrangements with Hanlan.
