The Post is opposing Messrs Beetham and Buchanan at the present election because they won't pledge themselves to support th e big rail way job which that paper has on hand. The Post is the special organ of the West Coast railway ring. This ring trapped Mi' Bunny long ago, but Messrs Beetham and Buchanan are very unlikely to sell themselves to a ring which aims at diverting the traffic from the Wellington and Masterton railway to feed the Wellington and Manawatu railway.
