THE LONDON WOOL SALES.

The New Zealand, Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram from their London office, dated 12th inst.:—The sales closed firmly to-day at the level of last sales, except for inferior descriptions. The market for scoured, clothing washed, aiid combing washed, is also easier. Crossbred has advanced |d to Id per lb; scoured has declined Id per lb since close of last sales. The sales comprise about 324,000 bales; 38,000 bales have been held over for future disposal; 180,000 bales have been taken for export.
