Wellington, Monday. The Maories in the Upper Wanganui district have arrested two Europeans named Barry and McDonnell who were prospecting for gold on Native lands. The prisoners have been sent by the Natives on to Alexandra, and the Fen Mr Bryce is, considering whether to prosecute them for unlawfully prospecting.
