PARLIAMENTARY.
UNITED PRESS ASSOOUTION. THURSDAY. In the House yesterday the Standing Orders Committee brought up the report of amendments required to prevent the undue use of the forms of the House to prolong debates. In reply to Mr Turnbull Sir John Bryoe said that Te Whiti had received the communications from the Government sent through Mr Parris. Five neff Bills were introduced, and two private Bills passel through some Btages. A number of formal motions for returns were agreed to, and the rest of the sitting was occupied in discussing a motion of Mr Joyce's for the appointment of a committee to enquire into the administration of the Kaitangata relief fund, He explained that he did not want to impugn the actions of the trustees or to throw any slur on them, and ; at Mr Montgomery's suggestion he struck out certain words which might seem to do
The Hon, Mr Diok and the Hon. Mr Eolleston opposed the motion, and ultimately the debate was interrupted by the House at 5,30 adjourning till next day.
