GOOD TEMPLAR SPECIAL SESSION.
Auckland,- May 25. A spocial session of. the Grand Lodge 1.0. G.T., under theRAV.G. Lmdge of the World took place in the Choral Hull tonight, Bro Jonkins, G. W.C.T., presided. Amongst th6se present were members of the- Executive , and Bros Sir Wm, Fox, P.W.G.O.T!, from Taranaki, and Mr W, Price, G.W. Secretary, from Wellington. After Routine business, Bro, Douse, of Wellington,, and Bro, Robertson read papers on the temperance question, and Bro. Sir Wm. Fox then delivered an address, and concluded by moving a resolution expressive of gratitude to Providence for preserving the Queen from assassination. Bro. JPrica seconded the resolution, and it was agreed to, with the addition that the G.W.S. be iustructed'to send it to the Colonial Secretary, for transmission by the Governor to the. Queen, It was then determinod to establish a Good Templar journal in Auckland, contributions towards that object having been received. The meeting then adjourned.
