This presentation will doubtless prove a souroe of gratification not only to the immediate friends of Mr and Mrs Hall, but also to the public generally, as being at once a becomiug acknowledegment of Mr .Hall's official services, and a practical illustration of the good understanding which prevailed in the late Cabinet. . ._ The presentation consists of a large tray made of burnished sterling ailver, octagon shape, uid of the newest desjgjjp. The rim about an inoh high, consists of.a number of perpendicular bars, while a wreath of flowers is worked on the plate ' and around the centre, which bears the following inscription : " Presented to Mrs John Hall by the members of the Hall Ministry, in remem-: brance.of much kindness. April, 181)2. The tray has Been manufactured by Messrs Kohn & Co., of this city, ana is enclosed in a handsome morocco case lined with satin.
