DUNEDIN SALEYARDS COMPANY (LIMITED.)

The annual general meeting of shareholders in the above company was held on Wednesday, 16th Feb., when the Direct tors submitted the following report ;^_ " The Directors have much pleasure in submitting to the shareholders the statement of accounts and balance-sheet for the year ended 31st December, 1881, from which it will be seen that the reveuue from all sources haß been L 1174 9a 7d, whilst working expenses, charges, &c, amount to £29218s lOd, showing a profit on the year's working of IW lOs 9d, During the year the sum of £31612s 2d has been expended in the extension of the yards. The Director's recommend a dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum on the paid-up capital (which will absorb ;6600), to become payable at the Company's office on and after Wednesday, Bth day of February, 1882, and that as it is time that some allowance be made for depreciation, a sum of 1500 should be taken from the balance of profit and loss account and credited to construction account. As provided by the articles of association, all the directors now retire, and it will bo necessary that five gentlemen should be chosen to fill the position for the ensuing year.
