WAIRARAPA HOSPITAL. 'ire House Committee of the Wairarapa lospital met at tho Secretary's office, ireytown, on Tuesday afternoon. Present—Messrs 0. Pharazyn (chairnan), W, G. Beard; W. C. Cuffi G. Vyett, and the Rev W. Booth. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported the credit lalance in bank to be £912s Id. Accounts amounting to £49 2s 2d were jassed for payment. The Secretary laid before the meeting the report and balance-sheet for the year ending September 30, 1881, which it was decided to present to subscribers at the annual meeting. It was resolved that the Secretary write to the Borough Council and ask for a refund of the rates as a donation to the Hospital. The annual meeting of subscribers was then held, Mr C. Pharazyn being voted to the chair. The Chairman read the report and balance-sheet, which were adopted on the motion of the RevW, Booth, seconded by Mr W. G. Beard. REPORT. The Committee of the Wairarapa Hospital, in presenting their report for the year ended 30th September, 1881, have pleasure in informing the subscribers that, as shown by the balance-sheet attached, the Hospital financially is in a fairly satisfactory position, being able to show a credit balance of £10-1 12s Id. During the year several urgently-required improvements have been mad# to the Hospital buildings, and the following chauges and appointments have been made in its working management: —The late custodian and matron having been called upon to resign, Mr Basil Burcli and Mrs Burch were appointed in their place. Dr Wm. Bey was elected Hospital Surgeon vice Dr J. Smith, resigned and Mr F. H. Wood was elected secreie Board to forward at once the easels vhich are urgently required.
