[To the Editor of the Wairarapa Daily,] Masterton, May 26, Sir,—l see by a Wellington paper that that well-known and highly-popular winter amusement, skating, is about to b© revived there this season, Now, Sir, it surprises me that nothing of the sort is not started in the Wairarapa. About three years ago this most enjoyable pastime was.in full, swing in the four townships of the Valley, being well patronised "by both sexea; and surely, if it was started now, it could not help being a- success, Where are the_ enterprising men of the premier township of the - Wairarapa 1 If some speculating individual started a rink in Masterton, and procured a batch of good skates, tjie halljvould.be rushed; ■ ' , 'Hoping someone'take the matter in hand, lam, &c„ Skatious, .
