Our Volunteers.
. o A team from the Studholroe Mounted Rifles proceeded to Timiira on Thuradaj, and in the afternoon tired a match with the Fort Guards. The weather was good for shoe ting as the breeze was steady and the lieht good. The visitors put up a score that would have beaten most rifle teams, but the Guards went one better and scored an average of 91 9 per man, a record for the colony. The Waimate men were well treated by the home team, being entertained at dinner at the Commercial Hotel. The following are the scores:—
