MAKIKIHI.
A vary enjoyable social ip aid of the Makikihi library funds was held on Friday evening in the schoolroom. From 7 p m. till 8 30 the children were entertained with games and provi led with tea and cake, after which the grown ups had their turn. The fl >or was in fine order, and the music provided by Mr Skinner (violin) and Miss Lindsay and Mr S. Lindsay (piano) was of the best, so that this part of the programme was as much enjoyed as the previous part. During the evening songs were acceptably sung by Misses Fuller and Meilwrick and Messrs Manson and Barnett, and a recitation splendidly rendered by Miss McMeegnan. Supper was provided by several jadies and, as usual, proved an acceptable part of the evonmg’s enj lymsnt. MrF. Childs m ido an efficient M.C.
