There was a good attendance a fairly good sale at the breraldine farmers' yards on Thursday. Thete was a good entry of sheep and a full yarding of cattle, all of which sold up to late rates. It was announc d by the directors of the company during the sale that in future no yard fees would be charged in the farmers' yards. TIMARU SKIN SALES. WAIMATE COUNTY SALE. Messrs Guinness and LeCren, Ltd., report that at this sale yesterday there was only a small yarding of stock. The I following were the prices obtained : I Sheep—Fat ewes 9* 8-J, lambs 6j sd, 2 tooth wethers 10*. BURNSIDE MARKETS. . Donedin, July 2; Cattle—227 head of fat catle were yarded, about 50 being prime, and keenly competed for at quite equivalent to last week's prices. Second class declined fully 10s per head. Prime heavy weights sold at £11153, best £lO to £lO 17a 6d, medium £8 5s to £9, others £6 to: £7, prime heifers up to £8 17s 6d, medium £5 to £6 109, cows £5 to £6. Sheep— 2909 fat sheep were penned, prices ruling firm at last week's rates. Best wethers sold at 15s 6d to 17s, extra heavy 18a 6d, medium 13s 6d to 15s. best ewes 12s 6d to 15s. extra heavy 16s 9d, medium 10 6d to 12*. 300 lambs were yarded, prices ruling slightly farmer. Best sold at 10s to lis, a few extra heavy 14s, medium 8s 6d to 9s 9d. Pigs—l3o pigs were penned, all sorts meeting with a fair demand. Suokers fetched 5s to 7s, slips 9s to 13\ stores 17s to 225, porkers 24s to 375, baconere 40s to 555, heavy pigs up to 61s. DUNEDIN GBAJN MARKET. Wheat— Practically no business is passing. Millers' requirements consist ohiefly of a few ohoice lots of northern velvet and for other descriptions there is very little inquiry. Fowl wheat meets withfairlocal demand. Prime velvet and Tuscan are quoted at 3s lOd to 4s 3d, medium milling 3s 5d to 3s 9d, fowl wheat (good) 3s to 3s 3d, damaged 2s 6d to 2s lid, saoks extra. Oa*s—Business seems to have come to a standstill and there is very little demand from outside. There is a steady demand for seed at 2s lOd to 3a, milling 2s 7d to 2s Bd, best feed 2s 6d to 2s bid, good 2s 6Jd, medium 2s 41 to 2s4|d, aaoka extra.
