The match against Cambridge University commenced today in showery weather. The wicket was slow and! the attendance meagre. TrumbUe is playing for the first time, since his recent accident. Dr Pope, of Sydney, who went to England w'V.i the Australians, completed the team. The University secured first use of the wicket, Ebden and Gilman facing the bowling of Jones and Trumble. Should it not take place the team will probably make a short, tour of Western Australia on their way back.
THE SECOND TEST MATCH. - The English team for the second test match, commencing at Lord's on the 12th inst.j will be as follows: — MacLaren, Jaekson, Fry, Eanjitsinjhi, Jessop,, Taylor, Lilley, Hirst, Rhodes, Loc-kwood, Tyldesley, and Braund. It is hoped that Trumble will be able to play. Noble is Btill suffering from influenza, but is improving. Darling has also been indisposed.
